KLdivergence @math_rachel While I disagree with the perspective that a solution must be offered in order to point out a problem, it’s worth noting that work in the AI ethics space often does point to a solution..... don’t build it. Or change policy. These often don’t count because they aren’t “technical”.
merbroussard A lot of the problem we run into with AI is that people make dramatic claims about what the software can do (ex ante claims) and then the analysis afterward (ex-post) reveals that the claims are false and/or that the AI discriminates.
