derwahremawa Ganz Twitter ist voller braver Deutscher, die Sibylle Berg und Susanne Gaschke beipflichten: endlich ein Holocaust, bei dem wir die Opfer sein dürfen!
luca Let the markets do their thing. Give the money to the people and it will trickle up to the companies who provide the people with the things and services they need.
GFoi Wann ist die Pandemie vorbei?
Wenn Herdenimmunität erreicht ist.
Drei Wege:
- Katastrophe: viel zu viele werden gleichzeitig krank, Dauer: ca 12-15 Wochen
- "kontr. Durchseuchung": Dauer ca 4-6 Jahre
- Impfung, bis dahin 'Containment 2.0': Dauer ? (10-18 Monate)

ricard_sole Farewell to mathematician John Conway. For us, complexity scientists, he will be remembered by the invention of the cellular automaton called the Game of Life, that inspired so many ideas about complexity, computation and life itself. @sfiscience @svalver pic.twitter.com/scpwJ8onmV

existentialcoms What would we say about the USSR if Adam Smith was never taught? Never discussed? Most Americans hate communism, but can't define it. What would we say if Soviet citizens hated capitalism without reading capitalist thinkers?
We'd call it brainwashing, censorship, and propaganda.
existentialcoms What is dangerous about Lenin is that he talked about actually destroying the system in reality, not just theorizing about what is wrong with it. In other words, Lenin was serious. This kind of thing can't be tolerated. It can't even be discussed, apparently.
existentialcoms Marx appears a couple times very briefly, but far less than, say, articles from The Economist. Harvard in particular seems to more or less openly base their courses on capitalist propaganda. So why can't we read or discuss Lenin? Even in an adversarial way?
frluckaj Lmaooooo in my Zoom lecture the prof asked if anyone had any questions and one kid used the 'Raise Hand' feature. Prof calls on him and he has the nerve to say 'No sorry I was just stretching' 😂😂😂😂😂

(Non-linguists: Here's a chance to learn some phonetics!)
