alqaeda Really? This is wonderful news.

You see, my faith requires me to slaughter infidels in shopping malls, and the law has always been a bit of a problem for me. Thrilled to learn that that’s all in the past now. twitter.com/WhiteHouse/sta…

KANTBOT20K You always know people are lying when they say they’ve read Hegel because Hegel was a fictional character from a contemporary novel written by Schelling about a philosopher driven mad by spector of lovecraftian entity called Geist. All Hegel’s philosophy is a meta-textual prank

I’m currently teaching a class of beginners Python, and I really miss having a type-checker as a teaching tool.

Why does nobody seem to teach as a first programming language? It seems perfect for beginners.

yoavgo I made this slide deck about computers getting "near human performance" on the SQUAD dataset some months ago.

Worth reading again in light of these recent claims. Everything still holds.

GaryMarcus Prepare yourself for a batch of grossly misleading reports on machine reading today. The SQUAD test shows that machines can highlight relevant passages in text, not that they understand those passages. money.cnn.com/2018/01/15/tec…
