emilymbender @tschfflr Also, I do a presentation during our MS program orientation on "writing in grad school" that lays out expectations and provides a bunch of tips.
emilymbender @tschfflr We don't have to assign grades to theses here (thankfully), and they're not done until the advisor says they're done (including sufficiently well-written). For projects, I advertise ahead of time in the rubric that 50% of the grade is based on the write-up.
