random_walker I used to think the EU's Right to be Forgotten was too vague, easily abused, and didn't do much for privacy. Now Google has released a detailed paper on 5 years of RTBF requests. Despite the paper's mild spin, the data suggests RTBF is working pretty well! elie.net/static/files/f…

tobi Now true - some people, myself included, need a few hours to wind up and wind down for those to occur. Right now I'm procrastinating on twitter instead of writing my summit talk for instance. Reddit and HN are my siren calls.

tobi For creative work, you can't cheat. My believe is that there are 5 creative hours in everyone's day. All I ask of people at Shopify is that 4 of those are channeled into the company.

tobi I've never worked through a night. The only times I worked more than 40 hours in a week was when I had the burning desire to do so. I need 8ish hours of sleep a night. Same with everybody else, whether we admit it or not.

random_walker Good thread on whitepaper capitalism, but doesn't go far enough. People *knowingly* buy cryptocurrencies with nonsensical whitepapers hoping the technical jargon looks plausible enough that other people will be "greater fools", much like a Ponzi scheme. twitter.com/dhruvbansal/st…
