@ojahnn So I have one file in which I declare the dependencies between files and what to call to generate them, and the commands I actually type only ever contain one filename, the one I currently want to build.
@ojahnn I always call my scripts through a build automation system like Make (very limited), Produce (wrote that myself to get around Make's limitations), or xymake (haven't tried it yet but keep meaning to).
ojahnn @mmbollmann I've thought about a pre-conference "buddy program" where a small # of people find each other to form a peer group going into the conference, just to make the event less overwhelming by getting into it gradually. The "little push" you mention could surely come from such a group.
